Server Monitor Setup with LCD2USB

Introduction

Managing a headless server without a monitor can be tricky, especially when non-technical staff need to keep an eye on its status. To tackle this problem, I designed the LCD2USB device for a client who wanted a simple way to monitor their server’s health. This device displays essential metrics like system heartbeat, welcome messages, CPU load, and RAM usage on an LCD screen, making it easy for anyone to check whether the server is running smoothly. In this blog, I’ll walk you through how I created the LCD2USB, how it helps in everyday monitoring, and why it’s a game-changer for non-technical users.
